Communication with our Community

Community Communication

There are many ways our school communicates with our families and our school community. Parents are invited to keep regular contact with their child's teacher to keep informed about school life. Parents are encouraged to join classroom activities, be active in school events and school run organisations such as the Canteen and the Community Consultation Groups. Parents may also join the sewing group, gardening friends and reading nooks. Being actively involved in your school allows your child to see the value you put on positive engagement.

Our school gives information about school events, excursions and happenings through the weekly newsletter, our Face Book page, our Twitter feed and school notes. We can be contacted by phone, email or by popping into our office and speaking with our fabulous office staff.

Urgent information may be sent out via the Skoolbag app or via Sentral text messaging.

We have high expectations on how our portals of communication are used and we expect that all use is respectful and follows our school ethos of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence. We also expect that we interact with these portals of communication in a mindful manner, demonstrating positive interactions for those smaller people who watch us every day.

We expect the School Community Charter is followed at all times to ensure respectful interactions.

Each semester (twice per year), our school distributes a community newsletter to the wider Tenambit area, showcasing our school, its activities and our community events. Please keep a look out for it in your mailbox, it's a great read.
