POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING
It is the aim of Tenambit Public School to provide children with the skills to control their own behaviour, to develop self-discipline in the playground and in the classroom. The procedures the school has developed as part of our Positive Behaviour for Learning Program [PBL] to deal with discipline problems, aim to help children develop more positive behaviours. Procedures include timeout, establishing plans to solve problems, counselling, social skill development sessions, meetings with parents and suspension.
Positive Behaviour for Learning is a process of supporting student behaviour based on regularly analysing data and implementing school wide systems and practices that support positive student behaviour.
At Tenambit we have chosen 3 values to underpin this process. Each value has 3 behaviour expectations to support students' behaviour. These values and expectations are taught to students in their Personal Development lessons and reinforced at daily assemblies.
